Itinerary

Day 1

Monday

  • Private transportation pick up at La Aurora International Airport in  Guatemala City with personalized golf welcome gift.
 
  • Head to your Marriott hotel in zone 16 in Cayala, the neighborhood that has it all: safety, entertainment, shopping and walkability.
 
  • Enjoy an urban range session to check on your swing just 2 minutes away from your hotel and with unlimited guatemalan beers.
 
  • Dinner in Cayala at a local steakhouse. Always included: two Bottles of wine selected personally by Martin, golfer and sommelier as well, to pair with your meals.

Day 2

Tuesday

  • NO TEE TIMES AT LFG! So we Leave in the morning whenever you’re ready to grab breakfast at the first course.
 
  • Classic yet beautifully designed, this course will challenge your tee shots with its high trees and narrow fairways.
 
  • Located in an old convent from the XVI century, enjoy a 6724 yards(whites) par 72 with a 132 slope. Includes personal caddie, carts and cocktails by LFG!
 
  • Lunch with a view on 18th green, play again if you’re dialed in or call it a day with tacos from the grill and Martin’s fine wine selection.
 
  • Dinner at one of Latin America’s top50 Restaurants. Wine always included!

Day 3

Wednesday

  • Head to the only PETE DYE designed golf course in Guatemala and enjoy breakfast with a gorgeous view over the back 9.
 
  • Short but demanding course, your entire game will be challenged with fairway long bunkers, blind shots, uneven lies and even an island green! Caddies, carts and cocktails provided.
 
  • TOMAHAWK lunch in the sun on the terrace of hole 19.
 
  • Bad score? Take a swim or go and sweat it out at tennis or squash, LFG provides all equipment! Good day? Go for another 18!
 
  • Dinner at the place of your choice.

Day 4

Thursday

  • Play your favorite course again or rise early and include both courses in the same day!

 

  • All inclusive experience as usual: caddies, carts and cocktails. Lunch at the course, wine and dine downtown.

Day 5

Friday

  • Breakfast in Cayala and Check-out right after. Small Roadtrip to Antigua, a UNESCO world heritage city.

 

  • Antigua, the old spanish colonial capital, is surrounded by beautiful volcanoes and filled with cosmopolitan vibes. Visit a coffee plantation, have lunch in a secret place and wander around the paved streets to discover local crafts and small cafes.

 

  • Small roadtrip to your fishing lodge located in a private residence in the mangrove forest on the pacific ocean. Welcome dinner by the pool.

 

 

Day 6

Saturday

  • Early breakfast at 6am at the lodge, leaving for your 40ft private boat at 6:45am.

  • Boat leaves around 7am and then enjoy an hour ride deep into the pacific ocean to go find some sailfish.

  • Guatemala has the highest sailfish concentration in the world and don’t worry everything is catch and release to preserve the ocean!

  • Back to shore at 5pm to enjoy the lodge’s poolside bar with ceviche.

  • Outside Dinner under the stars.

Day 7

Sunday

  • Last breakfast in Guatemala. If time allows, go kayaking in the mangrove before you leave.

 

  • Private transportation back to Guatemala city airport, approx. 2hour drive. Will be adapted to every member of the group’s flights.

How far are the golf courses?

Between 20 to 45 min drive.

Not any different that any other part of the world, some areas are more dangerous than others but the itinerary is built around the least risky places only so no worries. Just watch your belongings like anywhere else.

Yes but you will be charged in quetzals, Guatemala’s local currency at the daily exchange rate from Google’s currency convertor.

Golfers probably travel from various locations and all have different loyalty programs, so we don’t want to impose anything on you. However, we will gladly look up and recommend the best flight depending on where you are coming from.

Yes if you have good golf etiquette and handle the bar cart responsibly 😉

Personal caddie, up to 3 carts for the group, cocktails from Martin (1 bottle of licor per group) and 2 beers per person per round. Unlimited balls if you registered on our website.

Yes just relax and enjoy and catch your first sailfish!

We guarantee two different golf courses.

Your golf trip has been designed in such a way to be the most enjoyable as possible: with the least people on the course, as well as trying to avoid traffic in Guatemala which can be like LA.

Minimum 3 golfers, maximum 6 golfers.

You can all play together, yes for real! Otherwise you can split up as you wish.

No everything is provided. Just keep in mind it is very warm and sunny out in the Pacific Ocean so bring light UPF clothing and sunglasses.

NO, you need to bring all your equipment. We recommend travelling with a hard top case for your clubs.

We provide all equipment but feel free to bring yours if you prefer!

Guatemala is also known as the “land of eternal spring”, so you have mild tropical climate year round, ranging from 75F to 95F (23C to 35C). 

Yes, what about hiking an active volcano?! Special clothing required, gets colder while climbing.

Yes, we can include a fourth day which would be Friday instead of going to Antigua.

Sunglasses, proper golf attire, light sweater for chilly mornings/nights, passport, any medicine you take on a daily basis, swimming suit, sport shoes (tennis/squash/gym), workout attire if you’re a gym addict, and everything else you normally travel with.
